WARHAMMER model build and paint contest.
Participants must purchase a Warhammer item in the store as ‘entry fee’ into the contest.
Kit must be in the $30 to $60 range, your choice of kit. Must be purchased from Story Forge Game Store, either day of, or before hand. If you buy a kit with multiple smaller models, such as a Paint Set, you must submit at least 2 models. You do not need to be present to win.
From 12:00 to 1:30 will be ‘build time.’ Assemble kit, etc. Glue will be available in the store for your use. You may bring your own.
From 1:30 to 5:00 will be ‘paint time.’ Use this time to paint your models, and get ready to be judged! All Warhammer paints will be discounted 25% for this event. You may also bring your own. Please - no spray paint/airbrushes. Models must be painted in the store for this competition.
At 5pm, panel of judges will decide the winners. Categories will be ‘overall best’ - ‘most creative’ - and ‘peoples choice’ as voted by participants.
Overall BEST - will be judged on skill, technique, color, and overall look.
Most Creative - will be judged for alternative paint schemes, kit-bashing, or additional flair that makes your kit stand out.
People’s Choice - everyone in the store at 5pm may vote on which model they think is the best. This includes participants and spectators.
PRIZES!!!! Overall Best will win a Kill Team starter set (value $114.00). Most Creative will win a Warhammer 40K Introductory Set (value $69.00). People’s Choice will win Age of Sigmar Introductory set (value $69.00).
**This event requires at least 5 registered participants or the only prize awarded will be “Best Overall.” At 6 participants or more, all 3 prizes will be awarded.
